I am Jingwen Liu. Long time ago in 1973, I was born to a common family in Guangdong Province, China. Although a native of Guangdong, a place famous for its exquisite cuisine, I have never been a good cook, which is a heritage from my parents and a blessing for my life after I married my recipe-loving husband. Most of my life was spent in City of Zhanjiang, Guangdong, having fun in both schools and wild fields before I moved to Kunming in 1991 to for my study in Russian Language and Literature at Yunnan University. I have never dreamed to be the first college student in my family, but the first conclusion I drew of my life upon graduation was that I am blessed by the fortune and intelligence my ancestors bestowed on me and that maybe I could be even smarter if they bless me more.
My professional life started with being a sales representative in export business in 1994. Two years later, I moved to a petroleum pier and storage company to be fully involved in corporation operations. This was the first time I was exposed to accounting business and its inner mechanisms. Interesting as it was, I found my need for more given talent to get it inside out. At that time, I drew my second conclusion in my life: blessing should never be taken for granted. Then thanks to given fortune, I got enrolled as a MS Accountancy student in 2001 at Cal State, LA.
Right now I am about to graduate from the accountancy program. I have experienced and learnt a lot in this totally different foreign land. Although I am not sure what the road lies ahead of me, I know the third conclusion of my life will soon be drawn. I wonder what that could be. Maybe it is that I shall never give up. Why? I guess I have to check with my ancestors first, just to play safe?
